Wargs!

My wargs with and without riders.I feel perhaps the riders should have brown flesh rather than green ( GW influence here?) and I am considering doing this. 10mm figures mounted on one pence pieces with a two pence piece for scale.
I am quite pleased with them thus far and hope to work further upon the others later this week. I am thinking about using SBH rules and perhaps experiment with my own.

  1. 10mm is much too small for my eyes (not just painting them, but also seeing them on the tabletop! lol). Although, there are certainly advantages - cheaper, take less space for storage and for games. Those do look great and your painting does them proud!

  2. Perhaps being influenced by some old books of "fairy tales" from my childhood, I very much feel that "goblins" should be red-skinned, not green, and have painted many up that way . . . and they look great!

So, if you feel that they should be brown, go for it, sir.

  3. I've posted a couple of pics of some of my "red orcs" here:

  4. Always thought orcs/goblins should be brownish - after all Frodo and Sam pose as orcs in the LOTR at one point - difficult if your not green !
